These transcriptions are posted for your enjoyment! It’s important to get the recording of them because there aren’t any articulations markings, nor do I try to notate them perfectly. They’re pretty close though, and they will get you close to what the artist was saying. I’ll add more over time. One suggestion in working with them is something Joe Lovano told me. He had me transcribe a Sonny Stitt blues, memorize it, then play a chorus of Stitt’s, then a chorus of my own, back and forth. The idea I believe was to improve my spacing and my phrasing. Have fun!
